Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are looking for a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth functioning of our facilities. The successful candidate must possess a strong knowledge of building maintenance, as well as a friendly, customer service-oriented attitude. We are looking for a dedicated professional who has a passion for maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our buildings and equipment. The successful candidate must possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as a strong interpersonal communication style. The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and basic construction skills is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment.
  2. Diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety and building codes.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  5. Monitor and inspect building systems to detect any potential issues.
  6. Respond to maintenance requests from customers and tenants.
  7. Document all maintenance activities and repairs.
  8. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  9. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
