- Conduct research and experiments to develop and optimize formulations for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address formulation challenges and optimize product performance.
- Analyze and interpret data to draw conclusions and make recommendations for formulation improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in formulation techniques to contribute to the development of innovative products.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, data, and results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve formulation issues to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines in the laboratory.
- Effectively communicate progress, results, and challenges to team members and managers.
- Contribute to the writing and review of technical reports and documentation.
- Continuously evaluate and improve formulation processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to source and evaluate new materials for formulations.
- Train and mentor junior scientists on formulation techniques and procedures.
- Adhere to project timelines and work collaboratively to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Assist in scale-up and transfer of formulations to manufacturing.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ethical and responsible conduct in all activities.
Advanced Degree In Pharmaceutical Science Or Related Field: A Candidate For This Role Should Possess At Least A Master's Degree In Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Or A Related Field. A Higher Degree Such As A Ph.d. Would Be Preferred.
2-3 Years Of Relevant Experience: Thermo Fisher Scientific Is Looking For Candidates Who Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry. This Experience Should Include Developing And Optimizing Formulations For Various Drug Products.
Strong Knowledge Of Formulation Development Techniques: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Formulation Development Techniques, Such As Pre-Formulation Studies, Excipient Compatibility, And Stability Studies. They Should Also Have Experience With Various Dosage Forms, Including Tablets, Capsules, And Injectables.
Experience With Analytical Techniques: The Associate Scientist Will Be Responsible For Conducting Analytical Testing To Support Formulation Development. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Experience With A Variety Of Analytical Techniques, Including Hplc, Uv-Vis Spectroscopy, And Dissolution Testing.
Team Player With Excellent Communication Skills: Thermo Fisher Scientific Values Collaboration And Teamwork. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively In A Team Environment. They Should Also Have The Ability To Present Their Work Clearly And Concisely To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences.
