- Prepare and package products according to company and industry standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures while handling and packaging potentially hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of packaging tasks and meet production goals.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to accurately record packaging and production data.
- Identify and report any packaging or product defects to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve packaging skills and knowledge.
- Continuously monitor and suggest improvements to packaging processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Previous Experience In Packaging And/Or Manufacturing: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Packaging Or Manufacturing Environment, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Packaging Processes And Can Quickly Learn And Adapt To Thermo Fisher Scientific's Specific Procedures.
Attention To Detail: As A Packaging Technician 2, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Any Errors Or Discrepancies In The Packaging Process. This Includes Ensuring The Correct Labels And Packaging Materials Are Used, Verifying The Accuracy Of Product Information, And Monitoring The Quality Of Packaging.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The 2Nd Shift At Thermo Fisher Scientific Is A Busy And Fast-Paced Environment, With Tight Deadlines And High Production Demands. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure, While Maintaining A High Level Of Quality And Accuracy In Their Work.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Collaboration And Communication Are Essential For Success In This Role. The Packaging Technician 2 Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As Cross-Functional Teams, To Ensure The Timely And Accurate Completion Of Packaging Tasks.
