The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the role of ILL Library Assistant 2. This is a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department. As an ILL Library Assistant 2, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and facilitating the sharing of resources among libraries.   1. Facilitate Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
  2. Assist patrons with requesting and obtaining materials from other libraries.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to patrons by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Collaborate with other library staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the ILL department.
  5. Maintain a high level of organizational skills to keep track of ILL requests, materials, and deadlines.
  6. Stay updated on ILL policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all transactions.
  7. Help promote the use of ILL services among the university community.
  8. Assist with processing and cataloging incoming ILL materials.
  9. Troubleshoot any technical issues related to ILL systems and communicate with IT department as needed.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to ILL services.
  11. Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies for the ILL department.
  12. Support the university's mission by promoting access to knowledge and resources for academic and research purposes.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and security of patron records and ILL transactions.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
