As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our campus infrastructure.   1. Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and skid steers, to maintain and repair campus facilities and grounds.
  2. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
  3. Accurately follow blueprints, maps, and diagrams to complete assigned tasks.
  4. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and ensure timely completion of projects.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  6. Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in snow removal and other campus emergencies.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and care of tools and equipment.
  8. Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to supervisors.
  9. Operate heavy equipment in a manner that minimizes disruption to campus activities and minimizes damage to property.
  10. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  11. Collaborate with other campus departments and participate in special projects as needed.
  12. Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
  13. Follow all university policies and procedures and represent the university in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Bulldozers, Excavators, And Loaders.

  • Valid Class A Or B Commercial Driver's License With A Clean Driving Record.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Procedures Related To Heavy Equipment Operation.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Construction Plans And Blueprints.

  • Familiarity With The Use And Maintenance Of Various Types Of Heavy Equipment.
