- Lead group fitness classes for students at the University of New Mexico, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective fitness routines for a variety of class formats.
- Motivate and inspire students to reach their fitness goals through effective communication and demonstration of proper form and technique.
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, ensuring proper equipment set-up and maintenance.
- Continually educate yourself on the latest fitness trends and techniques to enhance the class experience for students.
- Promote a sense of community within the class and foster relationships with students to encourage their ongoing participation.
- Collaborate with other fitness instructors and staff to ensure a well-rounded and diverse fitness program.
- Communicate with students about class schedules, cancellations, and any changes to routines or formats.
- Adhere to all safety and health protocols, including proper use of equipment and injury prevention techniques.
- Foster a positive and professional relationship with the university and its students, representing the university's values and mission.
A Nationally Recognized Certification In Group Fitness, Such As Ace Or Afaa.
Previous Teaching Experience In A Variety Of Group Fitness Formats, Such As Cardio, Strength, And Mind-Body Classes.
Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Exercise Science Principles, As Well As The Ability To Modify Exercises For Different Fitness Levels And Injuries.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Motivate And Engage Participants In A Group Setting.
Familiarity With The University Community And A Commitment To Promoting A Healthy And Active Lifestyle Among Students And Staff.
