This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the human resources operations for the Health Sciences Center at our university. We are looking for a strategic and results-driven individual with a strong background in HR, preferably within a higher education or healthcare setting.   1. Oversee the human resources operations for the Health Sciences Center at the University of New Mexico.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to ensure effective and efficient HR operations.
  3. Lead and manage a team of HR professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  4. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with the university's goals and objectives.
  5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and laws related to human resources.
  6. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and leadership.
  7. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR-related matters, such as recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation.
  8. Develop and implement employee development programs to promote a positive work culture and foster employee growth.
  9. Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance HR operations.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the university's HR operations remain competitive and innovative.
  11. Collaborate with other HR leaders across the university to promote consistency and best practices.
  12. Act as a liaison between the university and external HR agencies, vendors, and partners.
  13. Participate in the development and management of the HR budget.
  14. Represent the university at HR-related events and conferences.
  15. Uphold the university's values and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Hr Operations, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Experience Managing A Team And Overseeing Hr Operations For A Large Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Hr Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Problem-Solving Skills.
