- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract Indigenous students to The University of New Mexico.
- Cultivate relationships with Indigenous communities to promote the university and its programs.
- Collaborate with university departments and organizations to create and host events that highlight the university's commitment to Indigenous students.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and Indigenous students, providing support and guidance throughout their academic journey.
- Develop and maintain a database of Indigenous applicants and students, tracking their progress and ensuring their needs are met.
- Conduct informational sessions and presentations to educate prospective students and their families about the university's programs and resources.
- Plan and coordinate recruitment trips to Indigenous communities and high schools to promote the university's opportunities.
- Work closely with admissions and financial aid offices to assist Indigenous students in the application and financial aid process.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment for Indigenous students on campus.
- Stay up-to-date on trends and issues related to Indigenous education and incorporate this knowledge into recruitment and outreach efforts.
- Serve as a mentor and advocate for Indigenous students, providing guidance and support to help them succeed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of retention programs and initiatives for Indigenous students.
- Participate in university events and committees related to diversity and inclusion, representing the needs and perspectives of Indigenous students.
- Prepare and present reports on recruitment and outreach efforts, as well as the success of Indigenous students at the university.
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment strategies to increase the enrollment of Indigenous students at the university.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Recruitment And Outreach, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of The Unique Needs Of Indigenous Communities And Experience Working With Indigenous Populations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Diverse Individuals And Groups.
Familiarity With Recruitment Strategies And Best Practices, Including The Use Of Technology And Social Media.
