Standardized Patient

1. Portray patients with specific medical conditions or scenarios to help students develop their clinical and communication skills.
2. Provide a realistic and valuable learning experience for students.
3. Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure accurate portrayal of patient scenarios.
4. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
5. Attend training sessions to learn about new patient scenarios and provide feedback.
6. Participate in debriefing sessions with students to provide constructive feedback on their performance.
7. Act as a role model for students in terms of empathy, communication, and patient-centered care.
8. Collaborate with faculty to develop new patient scenarios that align with learning objectives.
9. Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
10. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to assigned patient scenarios.
11. Assist in the evaluation of students' performance during simulated patient encounters.
12. Maintain flexibility and adaptability in order to portray various patient roles as needed.
13. Represent the University in a professional and positive manner at all times.
14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the standardized patient program at the University.
