
Director/Law Associate Librarian

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the law library, including collections, services, and personnel. - Oversee all operations of the law library, including collections, services, and personnel.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and goals to ensure the law library meets the needs of students, faculty, and staff.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of library staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to develop and deliver instructional programs and services that support legal research and information literacy.
- Stay current with trends and developments in law librarianship and legal research, using this knowledge to enhance library services and resources.
- Manage the budget for the law library and make strategic purchasing decisions to ensure the library's collections are current and comprehensive.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the law library, promoting a welcoming and accessible environment for all users.
- Serve as a liaison between the law library and other departments and organizations within the university, as well as external legal and library organizations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external vendors and publishers to negotiate favorable licensing agreements and pricing for library resources.
- Maintain a high level of professional ethics and uphold the university's values and policies.
A Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Law Library Or Academic Library Setting.
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Legal Research Resources, Including Print And Electronic Databases.
Experience Managing And Supervising Library Staff And Operations.
Familiarity With Current Trends And Best Practices In Law Librarianship, As Well As Knowledge Of Relevant Legal Subject Areas.
