- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the School of Pharmacy in alignment with the overall goals and values of the University of Kansas.
- Lead and manage a team of faculty and staff to ensure the highest quality of education and research within the School of Pharmacy.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff, promoting a sense of belonging and equity.
- Collaborate with other departments and schools within the university to create interdisciplinary opportunities and partnerships.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and retention of top faculty and staff members within the School of Pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation standards and regulations.
- Develop and manage the budget for the School of Pharmacy, making strategic decisions to optimize resources and support the school's mission.
- Engage with industry partners and alumni to promote the School of Pharmacy and cultivate opportunities for students.
- Foster an atmosphere of innovation and forward-thinking within the School of Pharmacy, staying abreast of industry developments and implementing new approaches to education and research.
- Represent the School of Pharmacy within the university and at external events, serving as an ambassador for the institution and promoting its values and achievements.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, faculty, and staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Serve as a liaison between the School of Pharmacy and other university departments, as well as external organizations and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the university's marketing and communications team to promote the School of Pharmacy and its achievements through various channels.
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in the pharmacy field, and use this knowledge to inform decision-making and strategic planning for the school.
- Uphold the university's code of conduct and ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree Or Equivalent From An Accredited Institution.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In A School Of Pharmacy Or Related Field.
A Strong Record Of Research And Scholarship In Pharmacy Or A Related Field.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Academic Programs, Including Curriculum Design And Assessment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Faculty, Staff, And External Stakeholders.
