- Design and develop curriculum for undergraduate sport management courses in alignment with university standards and industry trends.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, seminars, and workshops that foster critical thinking and promote student learning.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate students on academic and career development, including assisting with internship placements and job opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all undergraduate sport management internships, including coordinating with industry partners and evaluating student progress.
- Stay current with industry developments and incorporate relevant material into course content to ensure students are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall educational experience and promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on assignments, projects, and exams to facilitate their growth and development.
- Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to engage students and create a dynamic learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall academic and professional goals of the sport management program.
- Engage in professional development activities to continually enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of sport management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with university and community partners to enhance internship opportunities and networking opportunities for students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, grades, and internship placements.
- Represent the university and the sport management program at events and conferences to promote the program and network with industry professionals.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures and maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Teaching And Mentoring Undergraduate Students In The Field Of Sport Management.
A Master's Degree In Sport Management, Physical Education, Or A Related Field.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Trends And Issues In The Sport Management Industry.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Faculty, Staff, And Students.
Previous Experience In Developing And Coordinating Internship Programs, Preferably In A University Setting.
