Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is looking for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this role, you will be an integral part of our patient care team, providing life-saving, and compassionate care to newborns and their families. We are seeking a PRN Registered Nurse who is committed to providing the highest quality of care and is eager to work in a challenging, yet rewarding healthcare setting.To be considered for this position, you must have a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, at least one year of experience as a NICU Registered Nurse, and current CPR certification. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide life-saving care and compassion to newborns and their families.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare team members.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to care for critically ill newborns.
  4. Uphold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas.
  5. Maintain current CPR certification.
  6. Stay up-to-date on all relevant medical policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
  8. Monitor patient progress and evaluate treatments.
  9. Educate patients and families on proper health care techniques.
  10. Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on best practices.
