Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Tech Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a professional and self-motivated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Pharmacy Tech Coordinator will be responsible for the successful coordination and management of pharmacy technicians and processes within the health system.This position requires a strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and a commitment to continuous improvement of processes and standards. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to think independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. In addition, the Pharmacy Tech Coordinator must have experience in a healthcare setting and must be a certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage the activities and workflow of pharmacy technicians within the health system.
  2. Ensure that all pharmacy operations meet legal, safety, and quality standards.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy processes and procedures.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for pharmacy technicians and operations.
  5. Monitor pharmacy technician performance and provide feedback and direction to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  6. Maintain a positive, customer-focused environment and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
  7. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure medication orders are filled accurately and efficiently.
  8. Assist in the training and development of pharmacy technicians.
  9. Review, analyze, and resolve any pharmacy technician-related issues.
  10. Stay up-to-date with current pharmacy regulations and standards.
