Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is looking for an experienced Nurse Manager to join our GI/Endoscopy team. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing excellent patient care. The Nurse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the GI/Endoscopy department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a GI/Endoscopy setting, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In addition, the Nurse Manager should possess strong leadership and communication skills and be able to develop and maintain relationships with staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the GI/Endoscopy department, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Monitor patient care to ensure that standards of care are met and maintained.
  4. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  5. Oversee budgeting and other administrative tasks.
  6. Provide leadership and guidance to GI/Endoscopy staff.
  7. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
  8. Participate in quality improvement projects.
  9. Develop and implement educational programs.
  10. Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
