Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Non-Clinical Research Informaticist. This position will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of complex data management systems used for clinical research studies. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of research data management principles. We are looking for someone with a passion for research and a commitment to providing excellent service to our research teams. If you possess the necessary qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please apply now!Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field.• At least 3 years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining data management systems for clinical research studies.• Advanced knowledge of database design and data analysis techniques.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and statistical software.• Familiarity with research ethics and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain data management systems for clinical research studies. • Monitor data quality and integrity of research data to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Create data entry forms, reports, and scripts to facilitate data management and analysis. • Create and maintain documentation for all data management systems. • Assist in the design and development of new research projects. • Support data analysis and provide statistical interpretation of results. • Stay abreast of developments in research data management and informatics. • Assist in the training and mentoring of research and informatics staff. • Adhere to research ethics and regulations.
