The Medical-Surgical Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in the medical-surgical/inpatient setting, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and ensuring that the safety of patients is the top priority.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in the medical-surgical/inpatient setting.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure that the safety of patients is the top priority.
  3. Monitor patient progress, assess medication safety, and adjust medications accordingly.
  4. Manage the medication formulary and ensure that medications are appropriate and cost-effective.
  5. Provide education to patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  6. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  7. Participate in team meetings and other committees related to patient care.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  9. Stay current with developments in the field and provide patient-centered care.
  10. Create and maintain a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In Medical-Surgical Clinical Pharmacy Practice

  • Current Kansas Licensure Or Eligible For Licensure

  • Knowledge Of Current Medical-Surgical And Pharmacotherapy Practice

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Team Members
