Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Mammography Tech to join our exceptional care team. This position requires a talented individual with excellent communication and time management skills, as well as an aptitude for working with complex medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a Mammography Tech who is a team player, highly organized, and has experience in mammography and other radiology services. Required qualifications include:• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent;• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT);• Certified in Mammography by the ARRT;• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and patient positioning;• Current CPR certification;• Knowledge of safety standards and radiation safety;• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain patient privacy. Responsibilities for Mammography Tech:

  1. Operate and maintain mammography equipment and other radiology devices.
  2. Prepare patients for mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  3. Follow established protocols for mammography exams and patient care.
  4. Position patients for optimal imaging results.
  5. Ensure patient privacy and follow safety standards for radiation safety.
  6. Maintain accurate records of exams, images, and patient data.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  8. Assist radiologists with additional imaging needs.
  9. Monitor and maintain inventory of imaging supplies.
  10. Participate in performance improvement activities.
