Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an exceptional Hydrotherapy Technician to join our team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, a commitment to providing quality patient care, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients. The Hydrotherapy Technician will be responsible for providing therapeutic treatments and support to patients with various medical conditions.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have a current certification as a Hydrotherapy Technician and at least one year of experience in a medical care setting. A friendly and professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations are also required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer hydrotherapy treatments to patients with various medical conditions.
  2. Maintain patient records, including medical history, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
  4. Educate patients and families on the benefits of hydrotherapy and its potential side effects.
  5. Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and other technicians.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
  7. Maintain clean and organized treatment areas.
  8. Keep current with new developments and best practices in hydrotherapy.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
