Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Emergency Medicine Administrator Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. In this role, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Emergency Medicine leadership team and physicians. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and the drive to provide the highest level of customer service.To ensure success as our Emergency Medicine Administrator Assistant, you should have an Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should also have experience working in a healthcare setting and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Additionally, you should be able to maintain confidentiality, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize appropriately.If you are passionate about providing quality service and have the qualifications listed above, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Emergency Medicine leadership team and physicians.
  2. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and other departments.
  3. Ensure the highest level of customer service at all times.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
  5. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
  6. Update and maintain records in the computer system.
  7. Prepare memos, letters, spreadsheets, and other documents.
  8. Assist with scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks.
  9. Develop and maintain filing systems for patient records.
  10. Monitor supplies, equipment, and other resources.
