Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CT Radiology Assistant to join our dynamic radiology team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce images of a patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. If you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, we want to hear from you!The ideal candidate for this position will have an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Additionally, they should have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting working with CT scanners and have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Other qualifications that will make you stand out include excellent customer service and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to adhering to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce images of a patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.
  2. Ensure accurate patient identification, positioning and documentation according to standard operating procedures.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot CT scanners and other equipment as needed.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
  6. Work collaboratively with the radiology team to ensure the delivery of high quality care.
  7. Keep up to date with the latest changes and advancements in radiology technology.
  8. Maintain accurate records and reports.
  9. Assist with training and orientation of new staff members.
