Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced Cancer Care Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff while assisting with daily operations.We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual with an eye for detail and a commitment to providing quality care. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in an oncology setting, combined with a Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). Additionally, you will possess excellent communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stocking shelves, filling prescriptions, and maintaining records.
  2. Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
  3. Ensure accuracy in filling and labeling prescriptions.
  4. Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Process and manage patient data and records.
  6. Answer inquiries from patients and other healthcare providers.
  7. Assist in the training of new pharmacy technicians.
  8. Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  10. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
