
Cancer Care Pharmacy Technician
The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced Cancer Care Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff while assisting with daily operations.We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual with an eye for detail and a commitment to providing quality care. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in an oncology setting, combined with a Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). Additionally, you will possess excellent communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stocking shelves, filling prescriptions, and maintaining records.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
- Ensure accuracy in filling and labeling prescriptions.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Process and manage patient data and records.
- Answer inquiries from patients and other healthcare providers.
- Assist in the training of new pharmacy technicians.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
