Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Biomed Equipment Technician to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about quality healthcare and has the necessary qualifications to provide support to our medical equipment operations. As a Biomed Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing medical equipment within the organization.The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and has a strong commitment to providing exceptional service. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering or a related field, possess a valid driver's license, and have a working knowledge of medical equipment and its components. In addition, the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. Responsibilites of a Biomed Equipment Technician at the University of Kansas Health System:

  1. Maintain, install, and repair medical equipment within the organization.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex medical equipment problems.
  3. Monitor medical equipment performance and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment maintenance and repair.
  5. Test newly installed medical equipment to ensure proper operation.
  6. Provide technical support and training to staff members on the use of medical equipment.
  7. Follow safety protocols and standards of care when working with medical equipment.
  8. Seek out new and innovative solutions to medical equipment issues.
  9. Research and stay up-to-date on developments in medical equipment technology.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
