
Behavioral Health Technician
The University of Kansas Health System is looking for a compassionate and driven Behavioral Health Technician to join our team and help provide excellent care to our patients. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a combination of clinical and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and other health care team members in the Behavioral Health Unit. The successful candidate should have the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with mental health issues. The Behavioral Health Technician will play a vital role in providing support to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit, acting as a key member of the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate for this role will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide empathetic care for patients. Required Qualifications:• Associate’s degree or higher in mental health or clinical field from an accredited college program• Previous experience working in mental health or clinical setting• Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Empathetic approach toward patients and families• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Certified in CPR and First Aid
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with mental health issues.
- Act as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing support to other healthcare team members.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain current knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment.
- Leverage excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Be certified in CPR and First Aid.
High School Diploma Or Ged
