
Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator
The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others and has a background in psychology or counseling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about behavioral health and is comfortable interacting with patients and colleagues in a professional manner. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field and at least two years of related experience. Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to assess their behavioral health needs and provide initial recommendations.
- Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to assist patients and colleagues.
- Maintain patient records, document patient progress, and provide updates to the team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to behavioral health.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patient behavior and progress, providing feedback to the team and making changes as needed.
- Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met.
- Work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding behavioral health services.
