Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced and compassionate Behavioral Health Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health assessments to patients, families, and caregivers. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, and a passion for learning and growing in this field. To be a successful Behavioral Health Assessor, you should have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field. You should also possess an active and valid license as an independent mental health practitioner. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is eager to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients, families, and caregivers.
  2. Utilize exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and caregivers.
  3. Provide high quality care to all patients.
  4. Maintain a passion for learning and growing in the field of behavioral health.
  5. Maintain an active and valid license as an independent mental health practitioner.
  6. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  7. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
