Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate Development Director to join our team! We are looking for an individual who is passionate about philanthropy and is a strategic thinker with a strong background in fundraising. This position will be responsible for developing and executing successful fundraising strategies and initiatives that support our mission and values.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience. They must demonstrate proven success in developing and leading multi-faceted and multi-year fundraising campaigns, along with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of major gift fundraising. The ideal candidate will have experience working with volunteers, donors, and other constituents as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute successful fundraising strategies and initiatives that support the mission and values of the University of Kansas Health System
  2. Develop and lead multi-faceted and multi-year fundraising campaigns
  3. Cultivate and steward relationships with volunteers, donors, and other constituents
  4. Identify and qualify new donor prospects
  5. Manage and track fundraising activity and progress
  6. Prepare reports on fundraising progress and results
  7. Strengthen the presence of the University of Kansas Health System in the philanthropic community
  8. Maintain awareness of fundraising trends and best practices
  9. Develop and manage budgets related to fundraising activities
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
