Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Administrator. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration and have at least five years of experience working in a healthcare or similar setting. As an Assistant Administrator, you will have an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization and to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. We are looking for a passionate individual who can bring a unique perspective and enthusiasm to the role, and who is committed to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support and assistance to the Administrator in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, initiatives, and policies.
  2. Assist in developing and managing budgets and financial plans.
  3. Monitor and evaluate organizational performance to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are being met.
  4. Facilitate communication between departments and stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  6. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal representatives.
  8. Participate in meetings and other activities to increase visibility and represent the organization.
  9. Identify areas of improvement and develop action plans for addressing them.
  10. Review and analyze data to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement.
