Develop and maintain a highly reliable and scalable global infrastructure for The Trade Desk.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to systems and processes.
Ensure high availability of all systems and services, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address any potential issues.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in SRE and infrastructure management.
Lead and mentor junior members of the SRE team.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for urgent issues.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of systems to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the smooth functioning of our infrastructure.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
Continuously analyze and improve system and process performance to meet business needs and objectives.
Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and processes to support business growth.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on system functionality and performance.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience With Cloud Infrastructure: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Designing, Building, And Maintaining Cloud Infrastructure, Particularly On Platforms Such As Aws, Gcp, Or Azure.
Proficiency In Automation And Scripting: A Senior Site Reliability Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Automation And Configuration Management Tools Like Puppet, Chef, Or Ansible. They Should Also Be Skilled In Scripting Languages Such As Python, Bash, Or Ruby.
Experience With Monitoring And Alerting Tools: The Trade Desk Relies On A Highly Available And Scalable Infrastructure, So The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Monitoring And Alerting Tools Like Prometheus, Grafana, Or Datadog.
Strong Troubleshooting Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Troubleshooting Skills And A Deep Understanding Of Networking, Linux, And Distributed Systems. They Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues.
Leadership And Communication Skills: The Role Of A Senior Site Reliability Engineer Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And Leading Projects. Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Collaborate And Drive Initiatives To Completion.
