Lead and oversee the product management strategy for developer experience and platform at The Trade Desk.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the digital advertising industry and keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge products.
Identify and prioritize product opportunities based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives.
Create and communicate a clear product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, including defining product requirements, conducting user testing, and coordinating with development teams.
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development decisions.
Define and track key performance metrics for products and use data to make informed decisions.
Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them grow in their roles.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support product launches.
Continuously gather feedback from customers and stakeholders and use it to improve the developer experience and platform.
Represent the company and its products at industry events and conferences.
Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into product strategy and development.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product management team.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Product Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Product Management, With A Strong Track Record Of Delivering Successful Products In The Technology Industry. They Should Also Have Experience In Managing Cross-Functional Teams And Driving Product Strategy.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Developer Experience And Platform: The Director Of Product Management Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Developer Experience And Platform Technologies, Including Apis, Sdks, And Other Developer Tools. They Should Also Have A Strong Grasp Of Industry Trends And Be Able To Anticipate Future Needs Of Developers.
Technical Background: A Strong Technical Background Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field, And Experience Working Directly With Developers. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Technical Teams And Understand Complex Technical Concepts.
Strategic Thinker: The Director Of Product Management Should Be A Strategic Thinker With A Proven Ability To Develop And Execute Product Roadmaps. They Should Have Experience In Defining Product Vision And Translating It Into Actionable Plans That Align With Business Goals.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: The Trade Desk Is A Fast-Paced And Collaborative Environment, And The Director Of Product Management Will Be Leading A Team Of Product Managers And Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Influence And Motivate Team Members Towards A Common Goal. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate Product Vision And Strategy To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.
