Associate General Counsel, Procurement

1. Manage all legal matters related to procurement activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Negotiate and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to procurement, including vendor contracts and service agreements.
3. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to ensure that procurement activities align with overall business objectives.
4. Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with procurement activities.
5. Advise internal stakeholders on legal requirements and best practices related to procurement.
6. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and make recommendations for process improvements.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and other partners.
8. Oversee the procurement process and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Provide guidance and support to the procurement team in negotiating and drafting contracts.
10. Conduct legal research and provide guidance on complex legal issues related to procurement.
11. Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping and documentation of all procurement activities.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement vendor management strategies.
13. Communicate with vendors and other external parties to resolve legal issues and negotiate favorable terms.
14. Train and educate internal stakeholders on legal requirements and best practices related to procurement.
15. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to procurement activities, as needed.
16. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion in handling legal matters.
17. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
18. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
