- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the university's food and nutrition services, aligned with the overall mission and goals of the university.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of all food and nutrition services on campus, including dining halls, cafeterias, and catering services.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of food service managers and staff to ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improving the financial performance of the food and nutrition services department.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders within the university to identify and address the unique nutritional needs and preferences of the diverse student and staff population.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, as well as university policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in food service management and nutrition, and make recommendations for incorporating new ideas and techniques into the university's food and nutrition services.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees, promoting professional growth and development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure the best pricing and quality of products.
- Represent the university's food and nutrition services in various meetings, events, and conferences, both internally and externally.
- Continuously seek feedback from students and staff on food and nutrition services to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Develop and manage budgets for food and nutrition services, ensuring responsible and efficient use of resources.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback and coaching to staff to encourage professional growth and maintain high standards of service.
- Stay updated on the latest nutrition research and guidelines to ensure that the university's food and nutrition services are promoting healthy eating habits and meeting nutritional standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote food and nutrition services to the university community.
Bachelor's Degree In Food And Nutrition, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Food Service Management, Preferably In A Large Institutional Setting.
Certified Dietary Manager (Cdm) And/Or Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential.
Strong Leadership Skills And Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing A Large Team.
Experience Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans For Food And Nutrition Services, Including Menu Planning, Budgeting, And Procurement.
