- Conduct research in the field of Global Black Studies and contribute to the department's scholarly publications and presentations.
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Global Black Studies.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students, including serving on thesis and dissertation committees.
- Participate in departmental and university committees and activities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
- Contribute to the department's efforts to recruit and retain diverse faculty and students.
- Engage in community outreach and partnerships related to Global Black Studies.
- Contribute to the development and assessment of the department's academic programs.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.
- Participate in departmental events and activities, such as conferences and workshops, to promote the field of Global Black Studies.
- Stay current with developments and trends in the field and incorporate them into teaching and research.
- Contribute to the department's efforts to secure external funding for research and teaching projects.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program planning.
- Serve as a source of expertise and resource for colleagues and students in the field of Global Black Studies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the values and mission of the department and university.
A Phd In A Relevant Field Such As African American Studies, African Diaspora Studies, Or Black Studies.
A Strong Record Of Research And Publications In The Field Of Global Black Studies.
Demonstrated Expertise In Global Perspectives On Black Experiences, Including But Not Limited To African, African American, Afro-Latinx, And Afro-Caribbean Studies.
Experience Teaching Undergraduate And Graduate Courses In Global Black Studies, With A Commitment To Innovative And Inclusive Pedagogy.
