  1. Perform blood draws and collect other specimens from patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Handle and process specimens with accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  4. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all specimens collected.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, including maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  6. Educate patients on the phlebotomy process and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
  8. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the phlebotomy process and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care and contribute to cutting-edge research.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in phlebotomy.
  11. Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed and communicate any concerns or issues to the appropriate parties.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Attend required training and meetings to stay current on policies and procedures.
  14. Support a positive and inclusive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and collaborating with colleagues.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program Or Certification From A National Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Anatomy, Medical Terminology, And Infection Control Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Handling And Processing.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
