  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families to the hospital with a friendly and compassionate attitude.
  2. Assist patients with check-in procedures and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  3. Escort patients to their designated rooms and help them get settled.
  4. Monitor and record vital signs and other patient information under the direction of a nurse.
  5. Assist in basic patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  6. Ensure patient comfort and safety by responding to their needs promptly and effectively.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide a coordinated and patient-centered approach to care.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing linens and restocking supplies.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status and address any concerns.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve upon skills and knowledge.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  13. Assist with the discharge process, including gathering patient belongings and providing discharge instructions.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to following best practices and providing high-quality care to patients.
  15. Promote a positive and professional image of the hospital and its mission to improve lives through excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Care Associate Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Ability To Understand And Follow Instructions.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Hospitals Require That Patient Care Associates Hold A Cna Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training In Basic Patient Care And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting Can Be Beneficial For A Patient Care Associate. This May Include Working As A Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Or Other Related Role.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Associates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.
