In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office and providing exceptional administrative support to our faculty and staff.   1. Greet and welcome visitors, students, and staff to The Ohio State University with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  2. Provide exceptional administrative support to faculty and staff, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing documents.
  3. Maintain a highly organized and efficient office environment by managing supplies, filing systems, and office equipment.
  4. Handle incoming calls and correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate individuals and responding to general inquiries.
  5. Assist with event planning and coordination, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, ordering catering, and preparing materials.
  6. Manage and maintain confidential student and personnel records in compliance with university policies and procedures.
  7. Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of university policies and procedures and provide guidance to others as needed.
  9. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Exhibit a positive and professional attitude while representing the university and its values.
  11. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings and trainings as required.
  13. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Office Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Office Administration, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite, Including Word, Excel, And Outlook.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Multitask Effectively.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With A Diverse Group Of Individuals And Handle Confidential Information With Sensitivity.
