  1. Perform and showcase musical talents at various campus events, concerts, and performances.
  2. Collaborate with other musicians and artists to create unique and engaging performances.
  3. Engage with and contribute to the vibrant arts community at The Ohio State University.
  4. Help enhance the musical culture on campus by participating in music workshops, events, and programs.
  5. Maintain a high level of musical proficiency and continuously strive for improvement.
  6. Act as a positive role model for students and promote a passion for music within the university community.
  7. Attend rehearsals, performances, and meetings as required.
  8. Provide musical accompaniment for university events and ceremonies.
  9. Assist in recruiting and selecting talented musicians for university music groups.
  10. Collaborate with music faculty and staff to develop and implement curriculum and programs.
  11. Assist in the maintenance and care of university-owned musical instruments and equipment.
  12. Represent The Ohio State University and its values through musical performances and interactions with the public.
  13. Continuously seek out opportunities to grow and expand musical abilities and knowledge.
  14. Contribute to the positive and inclusive environment of the music department and university as a whole.
  15. Adhere to university policies and procedures, as well as professional standards in the field of music.

Job Qualifications
  • A Degree In Music Performance, Music Education, Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • Demonstrated Proficiency In At Least One Instrument Or Vocal Performance, As Evidenced By Auditions, Recordings, Or Performances.

  • Experience Teaching Music Or Leading Ensembles, Preferably In An Educational Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Music Theory And History, As Well As The Ability To Sight-Read And Transpose Music.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Group Of Students, Faculty, And Staff.
