- Oversee all aspects of tumor registry operations, including data collection, maintenance, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by the National Cancer Institute and Commission on Cancer.
- Train and supervise a team of tumor registry specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Develop and maintain efficient processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of cancer cases.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and changes in tumor registry practices and communicate updates to team members.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of confidential patient information.
- Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new cancer treatment protocols.
- Act as a liaison between the tumor registry team and other departments within the institution.
- Represent the institution at local and national meetings and conferences related to tumor registry.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and actively seek opportunities to enhance the quality of data collection and reporting.
- Handle any issues or concerns related to the tumor registry in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient privacy.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Certified Tumor Registrar (Ctr) Credential From The National Cancer Registrars Association (Ncra).
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Cancer Registry Management.
Knowledge Of Cancer Registry Software And Electronic Health Record Systems.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Tumor Registrars.
