
Laboratory Compliance Officer

- Develop and implement laboratory compliance policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of laboratory facilities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with research and administrative staff to identify and address compliance issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track compliance documentation, including training records and permits, to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on compliance policies and procedures.
- Review and approve laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure they adhere to compliance requirements.
- Conduct investigations of compliance violations and develop corrective action plans.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and communicate updates to laboratory staff.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of compliance activities.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in external audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with other compliance officers and departments to promote a culture of compliance across the university.
- Proactively identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay informed on current research and industry trends related to laboratory compliance.
- Participate in committees and working groups to develop and enhance compliance programs.
- Represent the university in compliance-related meetings and conferences.
Bachelor's Degree In A Scientific Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Microbiology.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Laboratory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Or Regulatory Affairs.
Knowledge Of Federal Regulations And Guidelines Related To Laboratory Safety, Biosafety, And Biosecurity.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Laboratory Staff On Compliance Protocols.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Conduct Thorough Audits And Inspections To Ensure Compliance With All Relevant Regulations And Policies.
