- Develop and implement outreach initiatives to engage with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, community organizations, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote positive change.
- Identify and assess community needs and create strategies to address them through outreach programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with university departments and organizations to coordinate and support outreach efforts.
- Plan and execute events, workshops, and other activities to increase community involvement and promote the university's mission.
- Develop and distribute informational materials and resources to raise awareness about university initiatives and programs.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and the local community, addressing any concerns and promoting a positive image of the university.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of outreach programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to student organizations and volunteers involved in community outreach efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, partnerships, and community engagement metrics.
- Stay up-to-date on current events and community issues to inform and guide outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with other campus departments to ensure that outreach efforts align with the university's mission and values.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for diversity, inclusion, and social justice in all outreach activities.
- Represent the university at community events and meetings to promote outreach initiatives and build relationships.
- Continuously evaluate and evolve outreach strategies to meet the changing needs of the community and university.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Social Work, Public Health, Or Community Development.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Community Outreach Or Engagement, Preferably In A University Or Non-Profit Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Diverse Community Members And Organizations.
Knowledge Of Community Resources And Understanding Of Issues Facing Underrepresented Or Marginalized Populations.
Ability To Plan, Implement, And Evaluate Outreach Programs, Events, And Initiatives, Demonstrating Creativity And Problem-Solving Skills.
