Assistant Superintendent
Under the supervision of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance and Golf Course Superintendent, direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf courses. Assist in planning, scheduling and supervising the maintenance of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, landscape and associated support facilities. Instruct equipment operators in the safety, efficient operation and care of mowing and other equipment used on the golf course. Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation and drainage systems. Supervise the operation, maintenance and repair of motorized and mechanical equipment. Supervise and train employees in areas of fertilizer and chemical application and calibration.
Certified and/or licensed in pesticide usage.
Prefer two to five years of golf course responsibility
Working knowledge of the construction, establishment and maintenance practices employed on golf course
Knowledge of the game of golf
