- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis to ensure the proper functioning of all apartment units.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from residents or property management.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems within the apartment units.
- Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner, documenting all work performed and materials used.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any potential maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment, and ensure they are kept in good working condition.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger maintenance projects and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with residents and property management regarding maintenance updates and scheduling.
- Adhere to all safety and company policies and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Continuously seek ways to improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Assist with apartment turnovers by performing necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and reports.
- Attend training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents, colleagues, and management.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a well-maintained and welcoming living environment for all residents.
Previous Experience In Building Maintenance: The Ideal Candidate For This Job Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Building Maintenance, Preferably In A Residential Or Multi-Family Setting. This Will Ensure That They Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Systems And Equipment Commonly Found In Apartment Buildings.
Knowledge Of Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems Is Essential For An Apartment Maintenance Technician. This Includes The Ability To Troubleshoot Issues, Perform Basic Repairs, And Ensure That All Systems Are Functioning Properly.
Ability To Handle Physical Demands Of The Job: This Position Requires A Lot Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting Heavy Objects, Climbing Ladders, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle These Demands Without Issue.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As An Apartment Maintenance Technician, You Will Be Interacting With Residents On A Daily Basis.
