Strong Technical Expertise: The Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Engineering And Technology, With A Deep Understanding Of Software And Hardware Systems. They Should Also Have A Strong Knowledge Of Current Industry Trends, Best Practices, And Emerging Technologies.
Leadership Skills: The Head Of Engineering & Platforms Should Have Proven Leadership Experience, Ideally In A Similar Role Or In Managing Large Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Be Able To Inspire And Motivate A Team, Set Clear Goals And Objectives, And Foster A Collaborative And Inclusive Work Environment.
Strategic Thinking: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Think Strategically And Have A Track Record Of Implementing Successful Engineering And Platform Strategies. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing Roadmaps, Prioritizing Projects, And Managing Budgets And Resources Effectively.
Communication And Stakeholder Management: The Head Of Engineering & Platforms Will Need To Work Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Business Leaders, Other Departments, And External Partners. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
