Vice President, Operational Risk – Asset Servicing

1. Develop and implement risk management strategies for the Asset Servicing operations of The Bank of New York Mellon.
2. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the operations and develop proactive measures to mitigate them.
3. Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that risk management practices align with the overall business strategy.
4. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of risk management processes and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk management.
6. Conduct risk assessments and provide regular reports to senior management on the status of operational risks.
7. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, regulators, and industry associations to stay informed about emerging risks and trends.
9. Communicate risk management policies and procedures to all employees and provide training as needed.
10. Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals within the Asset Servicing division.
11. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
12. Continuously evaluate and enhance the risk culture within the organization.
13. Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services, providing risk management expertise.
