
Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager
The Bank of New York Mellon is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager to join our expanding team. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in financial accounting and management, and is capable of making informed decisions and developing innovative solutions to complex problems. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.The Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fund and Client Accounting department, including managing all aspects of fund accounting, client accounting, and reconciliation. This position requires an understanding of the financial services industry, as well as knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field* A minimum of 10 years of financial accounting and management experience* CPA or MBA preferred* Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and financial services industry* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment* Commitment to customer service and satisfaction
Responsibilities for Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fund and Client Accounting department.
- Manage all aspects of fund accounting, client accounting, and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial information and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex financial problems.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Monitor and review team performance.
- Provide guidance and support to staff.
