Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon is looking for an experienced Vice President, Accounting to join our team and spearhead our accounting operations. We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about driving financial success and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, a comprehensive knowledge of financial compliance, and the ability to think critically and analytically. We expect the Vice President, Accounting to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and to be an effective leader.This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and a CPA license. The ability to manage and develop staff, analyze complex financial data and create accurate reports, and stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and standards is also essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing accounting operations and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
  2. Analyzing complex financial data and creating accurate reports.
  3. Managing and developing staff.
  4. Staying up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and standards.
  5. Developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
  6. Working closely with other departments to ensure accuracy of data and financial information.
  7. Preparing financial statements and other reports as needed.
  8. Providing guidance and support to other members of the accounting team.
  9. Identifying and resolving accounting issues in a timely manner.
  10. Participating in budgeting and financial forecasting.
