Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon is seeking a talented Real Estate Fund Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting of all real estate fund activity, including investments, financial statements, and returns. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong financial analysis skills and a commitment to identifying and responding to potential risks, as well as delivering high quality customer service.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university and at least three years of experience in real estate fund accounting. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide accurate and timely accounting of all real estate fund activities, including investments, financial statements, and returns.
  2. Analyze financial data and identify potential risks.
  3. Ensure compliance with all financial reporting standards.
  4. Deliver high quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting.
  6. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  7. Reconcile accounts and review financial records.
  8. Monitor cash flow and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  9. Review and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures.
  10. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve accounting-related issues.
