
Real Estate Fund Accountant
The Bank of New York Mellon is looking for a Real Estate Fund Accountant to join our team. This position requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of real estate fund accounting. If you have a passion for the real estate industry and a desire to join a leading financial institution, then this is the job for you!To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience in accounting for real estate funds. You should also have a comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis techniques. In addition, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely real estate fund accounting records in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial statements and data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Track and manage changes in fund performance and investments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and clients.
- Support the implementation of new fund accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents.
- Monitor and review fund performance and investments.
- Research and resolve any discrepancies in fund accounting.
