Principal, Insider Threat Analyst

At The Bank of New York Mellon, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Principal Insider Threat Analyst to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a professional with diverse experience in cyber security, who has a passion for protecting our business from malicious activity and unauthorized access. The Principal Insider Threat Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Bank’s insider threat program. The position requires a deep understanding of cyber security, insider threat detection, and data analysis. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop innovative strategies to prevent and detect malicious activities, as well as the ability to quickly identify and respond to incidents.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or related field• 8+ years of relevant experience in cyber security and information assurance• Experience in developing, implementing and managing insider threat programs• Knowledge of insider threat detection and analytics processes and best practices• Expert knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify anomalous activity• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor the Bank's insider threat program.
2. Analyze large datasets to detect malicious activities and unauthorized access.
3. Utilize cyber security expertise, knowledge of insider threat detection, and data analytics to create innovative strategies for detecting and preventing malicious activities.
4. Investigate and respond to insider threat incidents.
5. Monitor and analyze the cyber threat landscape, and identify potential attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
6. Provide training to staff on insider threat detection and mitigation.
7. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to insider threat prevention.
8. Work with internal teams to ensure the Bank's security measures are up to date.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in cyber security and insider threat detection.
