
Managing Counsel - Regulation, Supervision & Corporate Affairs
The Bank of New York Mellon is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Managing Counsel - Regulation, Supervision & Corporate Affairs to join its growing legal team. This individual will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to the bank's senior management team on a wide range of regulatory, supervisory and corporate affairs matters. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in banking law and a deep understanding of banking regulation, supervision and corporate affairs. The successful applicant will be expected to provide legal advice and guidance on all matters related to the bank's regulatory, supervisory and corporate affairs practices. The successful candidate will possess excellent research and writing skills, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail. This role requires a person of great integrity and professionalism, with a passion for delivering the highest level of legal advice and service to the bank. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the bank's senior management team on a wide range of regulatory, supervisory and corporate affairs matters.
- Conduct research and analysis of banking regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations, laws, and other legal requirements.
- Monitor and analyze new and existing regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the bank's regulatory, supervisory and corporate affairs practices.
- Represent the bank in meetings with outside regulators and attorneys.
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice to the bank's management team and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal documents and transactions.
- Remain current on all legal developments and trends in the banking industry.
Jd Degree From An Aba-Accredited Law School
